Over 600 Muslims to Gather in Auckland for ‘Voices for Peace’ Convention
Auckland, NZ - The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's NZ chapter proudly announces its Annual Convention, Jalsa Salana, set to captivate hearts and minds at Alfriston College on the 19th and 20th of January 2024. This two-day event promises to bring together over 600 Muslims from diverse regions across New Zealand, fostering unity and understanding.
This year's theme, 'Voices for Peace,' resonates globally with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's commitment to promoting harmony amidst escalating conflicts. The international campaign encourages individuals worldwide to raise their voices for peace, echoing the need for a collective effort in addressing global injustices, such as the Israel Palestine conflict.
Imam Mustenser, reflecting on the significance of the chosen theme said: "In a world marred by strife, 'Voices for Peace' represents our collective resolve to be agents of positive change. Our convention aims to explore the Islamic perspective on establishing true peace and addressing the root causes of conflict."
*A special guest session will be held on Saturday, 20th January at 11am, followed by lunch at 1pm. All members of the public are welcome but kindly requested to RSVP.*
