Tagaroa College Students Visit Mosque
A group of nineteen students of Tangaroa College with a teacher visited our Mosque on 30th April 2015.
The students were welcomed in the lobby before they were taken to the men's prayer hall. Maulana Shafiq ur Rehman explained to them about the salient features and the function a mosque for the Muslims. They also had an opportunity to witness Zuhr prayer in action before going down to see the ladies prayer hall.
A formal PowerPoint presentation by Maulana Sahib was followed by an extended Q&A session, as the students were on an assigment to study features of other faiths and wanted to know about Islam.
The studenst were served with refreshments before they were free to move around the hall to see the Qur'an Exhibition and the Book Display and left at 3 pm.
